Episode 28: The Return of the Podcast, an Update
Gemma AdevaAfter almost two years without publishing new episodes, welcome back to the Yarnitas podcast!
I hope you're at least half as excited as I am about the return of the podcast 🥹 Needless to say, I would have loved to sit down and record a long time ago, but for one reason or another it just wasn't possible... and now what? I can't commit to publishing new episodes every two weeks like I used to (once you listen to this episode you'll know why and understand better), but I will try to upload a new episode every month, my plan is that this return is to stay!
This episode is an update in which I tell you everything that has happened in these (almost) two years, all the changes that have occurred in my life, what I've been doing with Yarnitas, etc. Of course, I'll also tell you what I've been knitting and watching lately.
And let me not forget! I HAVE A NEW WEBSITE AND ONLINE STORE 🎉 Finally, all the new skeins I've dyed after abandoning natural dyes are available. Everything you've been seeing at fairs and social media is now in the store 😊 Plus, I've completely redesigned the website, and I'd love for you to stop by and have a look: www.yarnitas.com
NOTES FOR THIS EPISODE
Sections: On my needles, Knitflix.
- I just finished my latest project, the Artemisia Sweater by Emma Maier. I love it so much! I owe you some photos (although I already showed some on Instagram), but it's too warm to do a photoshoot, so I don't know how I'll do... I knitted it with Drops Alpaca Bouclé 602 and Flora 8, which are a perfect color match, just what I wanted. This type of bouclé yarn is a bit tricky to knit and you have to be very careful with the stitches, but the result is fantastic, it looks like a stuffed animal! I'm also very happy with the pattern.
- I've now returned to the Zarya Shawl by Ambah O'Brien, and although I'm enjoying the project itself, the format of the pattern is a real torture... I'm knitting this pattern with the skeins I included in last year's Christmas box.
- The series we are watching are: The Last Of Us (Peeeedro), The Agency, Jackal, Eastern Frontier and Night Sky ✨
Thank you so much for listening to the podcast!
