Episode 17: Knitting Plans for the Rest of 2022
Gemma AdevaIn this episode, I'm going to tell you about my knitting plan for the rest of the year. I know! 2023 seems like a long time away, but it's also true that we're already halfway through the year and we haven't even realized it! I didn't like losing my knitting spirit, so I'm going to do my best to keep it that way 😉
NOTES FOR THIS EPISODE
Sections: On my needles, Knitflix.
– Mr. Yarnitas' Caterpillar Socks are almost finished, finally! They're knitted with Regia City Streets Color in shade 2895. I can't wait to publish the pattern.
– The frog I'm talking about in this episode is the Frog pattern by Dotpebblesknits. The video (and account) that went viral and made me fall in love is by indiarosecrawford . For my frogs, I chose the Drops Alpaca colors 7233, 7238, and 2916.
– The Summer KAL starts next Monday, June 20th, you can still join and knit your summer project!
– I've decided to rescue my Ko - Fi account from oblivion , and I'm trying to fund The Knit Cafe with your help. My plan is to share more things there in small groups, which will be exclusive to supporters only . If you can help me with a coffee, that would be great!
– Series and films mentioned on Knitflix: Captive Nation, Mother Love, The Office, Stranger Things.
– The pattern I’ve chosen to knit for the summer KAL is the Tin Roof by Yamagara Knits (the link opens on Ravelry) and here is the photo that inspired me to knit it. I’m going to knit it with Retrosaria Rosa Pomar Coast .
– In order, the projects I'm going to knit between now and the end of the year are: the self-designed sweater I talked about in previous episodes (I've undone it and am going to start differently), the Around Every Corner shawl by Tellybeanknits, the Vertical Stripes Sweater by Petite Knit and the Arwen sweater by Isabell Kraemer.
