Episode 13: My Plans for 2022
Gemma AdevaThe podcast is back 😀
I've missed "talking" to you. And we're already in season two, I can't believe it!
Today I'm going to share all my craft plans for 2022. I'm really looking forward to starting new projects, and many of them aren't knitting-related! It's a long episode, so get comfortable.
NOTES FOR THIS EPISODE
Sections: On my needles, Knitflix.
– I’m almost finished the Luminaria Shawl by Lindsey Fowler (Larkspurknits). I’m knitting it with two Yarnitas bases, and in the photo above you can see how it was initially looking. Now I only have a few more rows! The yarn I’m using is a Donegal Sock that I don’t have in stock in the shop yet (the main color is pictured, in natural) and Soft Singles for the contrasting color, in a limited edition 2021 Advent Calendar, “Christmas Garland.”
– Next, I'm going to knit the Anna's Summer Cardigan from Petite Knit in three different sizes. I already have the yarn for all three versions and I've decided on Drops Cotton Merino . I like the blend of both fibers and think they'll be able to wear the cardigan almost all year round. Wish me luck knitting the same pattern three times…
– A new edition of Organize Your Stash begins on January 1st . If you want to sign up and organize all your yarn, needles, patterns, and knitting accessories, you can see the post with all the information about the challenge here .
– Series and programs mentioned on Knitflix: Elves, The House, Guilty, The Power of the Dog, Sea of Tranquility.
– Make Nine Challenge (I'm not participating this year).
– One of my main inspirations for launching into the projects I want to do this year has been Elise Joy with her project Make 36 . I love her podcast and her way of exploring new techniques.
– #hilandoel2022 will be one of my 2022 craft projects. I'll be sharing my progress on social media. During each month of the year, I'll spin at least 100g of wool and turn it into different skeins that you can buy in the online store. If you know any artisans who dye yarn for spinning in Europe and would like to recommend one, I'm all ears!
– The second project I'm going to make is this cross-stitch galaxy featuring 2022 temperatures in my city. I have everything ready except the threads, because I haven't decided on a color palette yet, but I'm super excited about it.
– To make sure you don’t miss anything about the third project I mentioned, stay tuned, hahaha 😉
– If you play Animal Crossing and would like to exchange friend codes or dream codes, write to me. This year I plan to play more than ever (I'm already doing it).
Thank you so much for listening to the podcast!
