Episode 15: How (and why) I started knitting.
Gemma AdevaAfter a period of silence, the podcast is back 🙂 The truth is, it hasn't been easy sitting down to record with everything that's happening around us...
In this episode I'm going to take the opportunity to catch up (I've made progress on a lot of projects!) and I'm going to tell you how I started knitting and why I got into it a whopping 18 years ago, hahaha.
NOTES FOR THIS EPISODE
Sections: On my needles, Knitflix.
– All my Anna's Summer Cardigans are finished and with their new owners. The last one was a total failure because the size didn't fit her… but her sister will be able to use it when she grows a little. The Drops Cotton Merino colors I used for all three jackets were 15, 20, and 29.
Out of curiosity, I timed how long it took me to knit the last jacket, and you'll be surprised to know it took 21 hours and 57 minutes.
– The pattern for the scrap blanket I’m knitting this year is the Jelly Roll Blanket by The Bakery Bears.
– And at The Knit Cafe we're knitting the Ingrid Sweater together (also from Petite Knit), you can still join the KAL if you'd like! I'm using shade 02 of Drops Puna , which is super soft 100% alpaca.
– Series mentioned on Knitflix: Snowpiercier, The Office, You, Vikings Valhalla, Peaky Blinders.
