Episode 14: How much is what you knit worth?
Gemma AdevaValuing handmade work is difficult. Not only do you have to consider the cost of materials or the time it takes to knit a garment, but there's also an added value that's difficult to quantify. Do you think you'd be able to put the right value on what comes out of your needles? In this episode, I'm not only going to give you my opinion on the subject, I'll also tell you about my experience selling handmade products and something very interesting that happened to me recently that I want to share with you.
NOTES FOR THIS EPISODE
Sections: On my needles, Craft Library, Knitflix.
– First Anna's Summer Cardigan from Petite Knit finished! And the second one in progress, which you can see in the photo above. The first one I knitted with Drops Cotton Merino in color 29 and the second one in shade 15.
– I’ve already started my cross stitch galaxy with the 2022 temperatures, and I’m in love! I’ve swapped the original pattern color palette for DMC’s Étoile , which has a bit of sparkle (and I think goes perfectly with the galaxy and stars theme).
– The book featured in the Craft Library is Ready, Set, Raglan by Pompom. I highly recommend it and can't wait to pick up one of the patterns to knit a sweater this year 😀
– Series and programs mentioned on Knitflix: File 81, The Sinner, Swowpiercer: Snowpiercer, The Tinder Scammer.
– All weekend long, use code BDAYPARTY for 36% off the entire online store , celebrate my birthday with me!
